1. How do you choose the best quality CCTV System, camera?
- A CCTV cameras can produce good images is using CCD (Charge Couple Devices) Chips.
- 1/3″ & 1/4″ size of the CCD chips is produce a higher quality of the images.
- The sharpness of the image is depend on the picture resolution. The larger of the TV lines be the better the resolution. The stsndard resolution in the market is 380 TVL, 480 TVL, 500 TVL, 530TVL, 550 TVL.
- A good camera is made by “SONY” chip.
2. What is the step to determine before set up the CCTV system?
- How many cameras are required?
- What are the key fields of view?
- What are your recording requirements?
- What are the lighting conditions at each camera location?
- Where do you need live video monitoring?
- How long do you need to keep the video files?
- Whether they will be used indoors or outdoors, during the day and/ or night, and where they will be mounted?
3. How many type of camera available?
- Indoor Dome camera ( It is used for general indoor applications and basically it c/w fixed lens)
- Box Camera (CCD) ( Box cameras are usually sold independent of lenses, housing & bracket. It is mounted to provide flexibility for different fields of vision)
- Outdoor Dome Camera (Common for locations that have entry and exit points with limited night lighting. It typically have hard shell vandal-proof casings)
- Day / Night Camera ( For low light conditions, the day / night camera is the best choice. During the day, the camera records in standard color, then switches to a low-lux black & white mode at night)
- Infrared Camera ( When there is no available light, an infrared camera is the way to go. Infrared LEDs are automatically illuminated and the camera records in black & white mode, offering camera views in complete darkness.
- PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) Camera (A pan-tilt-zoom camera gives the operator the ability to view and zoom in all direction. The CCTV operator can set the camera to automatically rotate to different fields of vision.

- How many camera to you have?
- What recording speed do you require?
- How long do you need to keep the recordings?
- Do you need remote monitoring requirement?
